With Harbor’s recent IOSCO Certification, you can rest assured that both the Pricing and Index Committees will hold all of the Harbor Reference Benchmark prices to the same ridged IOSCO standards for those benchmark prices that either are or will soon be exchange traded contracts.

Transaction-based Benchmarks
Benchmarks based on actual transactions is what sets HARBOR benchmarks apart from other Price Reporting Agencies (PRAs). Our price discovery process is based solely on actual confirmed physical transactions, while other Price Reporting Agencies rely heavily on “Bids & Offers”, which at times are prioritized and take precedence over actual transactions.
Fair & Transparent
We believe that no market participant should expect anything less than confirmed physical transactions to settle and ultimately set a benchmark reference price, similar to how exchanged traded contracts are settled daily. This fairness and transparency is HARBOR’s commitment to the market.
HARBOR is currently working with several of the major global exchanges on numerous HARBOR benchmark reference prices to evolve into exchange traded contracts.
